What Is Eppensteiner?

Eppensteiner is a filtration company that focuses on solutions for a wide range of industrial, mobile, and process applications. Eppensteiner was founded in 1987 and was located in North Wales in the United Kingdom.

Eppensteiner filters include products like duplex filters, suction filters, inline filters, and hydraulic accumulators. Today its headquarters is in Ketsch, Germany, since its parent company Bosch Rexroth acquired it in 2008.

What Eppensteiner Filters Does Fluitek Have?

As an Eppensteiner filter distributor, we carry several different types of filters that they sell. Here are the filter types we carry from Eppensteiner:

Absorption Elements

Adsorption filter elements are designed to remove contaminants and absorb pollutants in liquids through a chemical process that attracts impurities to their surfaces. The chemical bonding mechanism captures even sub-micron-sized molecules and ions that could pose issues if not treated.

These filter elements excel at applications involving oils, fuels, solvents, chemicals, or wastewater that contain regulated compounds and toxins. Common installations include treating industrial effluent streams and end-of-pipe waste management systems to ensure environmental compliance.

Pleated Media Liquid Filters

Pleated paper or synthetic filter media can be very effective at removing fine particles from liquid streams. The tight accordion-style pleating packs high surface area filtering media into a compact cartridge form factor.

This design allows a high dirt loading capacity for the removal of contaminants down to the micron and sub-micron levels. The versatile cartridges are suitable for various mobile equipment and industrial on- and offline filtration applications such as hydraulic fluids, fuel, transmission and lubrication oils, coolants, and more.

Spin-On Elements

Spin-on filter elements accommodate cylindrical cartridge elements that are conveniently installed and replaced with only a quarter turn. This simple threaded connection provides fast and mess-free filter changes in the field or plant.

Common applications such as fuel and hydraulic oil filters include engines, compressors, pumps, and more. By trapping ferrous and non-ferrous debris to fine micron ratings, spin-on elements protect components and systems while significantly extending fluid life and maintenance intervals.

Depth Elements

Depth elements utilize a stacked configuration of layered porous filter media like cellulose, processed fibers, or synthetic materials. The graduated density and porosity of each sheet and precoated prefilter layer enable the capture of a wide size range of particles, including fine to coarse dust and contaminants. This makes the cartridges ideal for clarifying water and processing liquids in industrial and food and beverage applications prior to critical filtration, equipment, or post-treatment processes.

Hydraulic Filters

Hydraulic oil filtration systems protect sensitive hydraulic components, valves, and cylinders from premature wear and failure. Hydraulic filters fitted with fine micron-rated filter media defend hydraulic systems from abrasive iron particles and moisture contamination.

Strategically placed return line, suction line, offline reservoir, and inline pressure side filters at multiple points ensure full-flow and bypass protection. This guards against sludge and debris build-up in vital applications such as heavy construction, mining, marine, and manufacturing equipment.

Metal Elements

Robust wire-wound and sintered metal cylindrical cartridges robustly handle high-volumetric fluid flows with long service intervals. Intended for industrial applications like engine lube oil, fuel, and hydraulic oil service on equipment, as well as large production pumps and lubrication systems, the all-metal construction filters down to fine micron levels. It reliably captures ferromagnetic and non-ferrous debris that could otherwise damage sensitive components in demanding operating environments.

Founded in 1975, Fluitek is a leading supplier of filter replacement elements. With over 35 years of experience, we offer over 250,000 compatible replacements for original equipment filters used in industrial, commercial, and automotive applications.
